Application of Foundation Drilling Core Barrel:
Built for boring through very hard rock and permafrost where a standard auger or bucket cannot hold up, our core barrels pair with tricon bits to cut through formations with unconfined compressive strength (UCS) exceeding 100 MPa.
Features of Foundation Drilling Core Barrel
– Manufactured in diameters up to 2500 mm.
– Hardox 450 (or equivalent) wear strips fitted for extended service life.
– Available with round shank chisel teeth or tricon bit configurations.
– Kelly box sizes: 200×200 mm or 150×150 mm.
More Introduction of Foundation Drilling Core Barrel
The tooling configuration is matched to the ground being cut — chisel teeth for general hard-rock coring, tricon bits once UCS climbs past 100 MPa — so the barrel holds up under sustained torque without excessive bit wear.
